01 / EQUIPMENT OVERVIEW

Product description

Overview
The source describes 22-ton and 33-ton configurations, a KS model and an optional Ultra package. A thick turret supports punching, marking and forming operations. The meaning of “hovering” in the source requires clarification. The claimed processing-time reduction of up to 40% has no stated test conditions and is not presented as a verified cycle-time commitment.

Drive and stroke control
A single-servo drive uses a high-torque direct-drive motor and an overload-capable drive unit. The reference control adjusts stroke to sheet thickness and varies speed through the cycle, combining rapid idle movement with controlled punching. Overcurrent and mechanical overload protection are described. Confirm pressure-adjustment functions for the selected machine.

Turret, frame and feeding
Paired machining of the upper and lower turrets supports coaxial alignment. Bushed turrets and long tooling support tool guidance. The O-frame is described as undergoing two vibration-aging treatments before machining. Reference features include precision guideways and ball screws, floating clamps and a rigid carriage. The X axis uses servo-driven ball-screw feeding; the Y-axis feed arrangement transmits load through the guideways to reduce beam vibration.

Tool stations and table
The reference arrangement has 32 stations and two auto-index stations. Worm-gear indexing is described, with a maximum tooling diameter of 88.9 mm and an option for four auto-index positions. A brush-and-ball table supports the sheet, and pneumatic ball transfers assist loading and unloading.

Lubrication and protective functions
Listed features include automatic tool and linear-component lubrication, centralized grease supply, vacuum-assisted slug removal, work-envelope guarding, personnel detection on moving tables, warped-sheet detection, loose-sheet detection and clamp protection. Safety performance and interlocks must be verified for the actual configuration.

Automated handling
Handling-system specifications and components are shown in separate tables rather than being treated as press capacities. A truss robot supports loading. The cantilever unloading unit uses two repositionable clamps for sheets at least 400 mm wide. The movable brush table uses an aluminum-profile frame and twin rodless cylinders. The integrated layout includes the truss, control cabinet, double-sheet detection and pneumatic lubrication; plug-in connections support adjustment and transfer.

Reference handling components include BECKHOFF, PHASE, SEW/STOBER, IGUS, AIRTAC, AIRBEST/SMC and Schneider. Duplicate source paragraphs have been merged. Missing press-body specifications have not been invented.
